This planning proposal applies to the site at No. 479 Henry Lawson Drive in Milperra (Lot 2, DP 576251) as shown in Figure 1.

What is being exhibited?
At the Ordinary Meeting of 25 July 2017, Council resolved to submit a planning proposal to the Greater Sydney Commission to:
1. Allow ‘garden centres’ as an additional permitted use on the site – refer to Figure 2.
“A garden centre means a building or place the principal purpose of which is the retail sale of plants and landscaping and gardening supplies and equipment. It may, if ancillary to the principal purpose for which the building or place is used, include a restaurant or cafe and the sale of any the following:
(a) outdoor furniture and furnishings, barbecues, shading and awnings, pools, spas and associated supplies, and items associated with the construction and maintenance of outdoor areas,
(b) pets and pet supplies,
(c) fresh produce.”
2. Apply a maximum 0.4:1 Floor Space Ratio over the site – refer to Figure 3.
