Consultation has concluded

Background

In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993, Canterbury-Bankstown Council is giving public notice of its intention to grant a licence, as authorised under Council’s Generic Plan of Management.

Council proposes to grant a licence to Greenacre Eagles Football Club for the purpose of managing and operating its activities from the clubroom located within Allum Park Clubhouse, 9A Karuah Street, Greenacre. This includes the coordination of football-related programs, training, administration, and associated community sporting activities.

The land is classified as Community Land under the Act. The proposed licence is consistent with the core objectives for the management of Community Land, including the provision and support of recreational, sporting, and community-based uses. It also aligns with the provisions and intended use outlined in Council’s Generic Plan of Management, which permits the use of such facilities by community sporting organisations for the benefit of the local community.

Licence agreement

Following the construction of a new clubhouse at Allum Park, Council intends to formalise a new licence agreement with Greenacre Eagles Football Club. The Club is a family-oriented organisation that promotes community, teamwork, resilience, and determination.
