Consultation has concluded

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (the Bulldogs) have been tenants of Belmore Oval for several decades. In April 2025, the Bulldogs received approval from the NSW State Government to construct a Centre of Excellence as a State Significant Development (SSD 69627466) at the site. The project will be managed and delivered by the Bulldogs, with funding assistance from the NSW Government.

As the landowner of the Belmore Oval Sports Complex and adjoining Peter Moore Field, Council is required to enter into a construction compound site licence agreement with the Bulldogs to enable them to use 1C and part of 1D Leylands Parade for the approved construction work zone as outlined in the Stamped Plans for SSD 69627466. Under the Local Government Act 1993, Council is required to publicly exhibit the proposed licence agreement for the purposes of construction at this site.

At the 28 October 2025 ordinary meeting, Council endorsed public exhibition of the proposed construction compound site licence agreement, which is consistent with the approved construction work zone for this project.
