Consultation has concluded

Background

We’re designing an upgraded playspace at Wiley Park with at least 10 types of play equipment. This will replace the current playspace which is scattered and outdated.

This proposal

The new playspace includes:

  • an exciting play tower which will be wheelchair accessible and cater to all abilities;
  • spinner and trampoline;
  • scramble wall and challenge climbing nature play;
  • water play;
  • shade;
  • seating;
  • new barbeques;
  • bubblers;
  • a ‘kick about space’ on the green space known to locals as The Field;
  • the relocation of parking further west to accommodate the new playspace away from the ponds and improve safety.

Exclusions:

  • amenities building.

This is the first stage of the five stage Wiley Park Masterplan. Construction will not commence until designs are finalised. The design for the new playspace is expected to be finalised in October 2022.
