Council resolved to adopt Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment No. 2) at the Ordinary Meeting of 23 June 2015. The purpose of these amendments are:

(a) Transfer clause 23 of the former Bankstown LEP 2001 to Bankstown DCP 2015–Parts B2 and Part B3; amend the term ‘family dwelling’ to read ‘secondary dwelling’ in Part B5; and introduce a parking requirement for semi–detached dwellings in Part B5. These amendments come into effect on 8 July 2015 and apply to development applications lodged on or after this date.

(b) Transfer a parking requirement under Bankstown DCP 2005 (Amendment No. 31), which is specific to the Chester Hill Village Centre and Sefton Small Village Centre. This amendment will come into effect on the date the draft plan, in connection with the North West planning proposal, is published on the NSW legislation website, and will apply to development applications lodged on or after this date.
