Consultation has concluded

We are exhibiting our Code of Meeting Practice and would like your feedback. The development of this policy is standard practice at each election cycle when new Councillors are elected.

This exhibition is in line with Local Government Act requirements. In accordance with the requirements of section 361 of the Local Government Act 1993, this policy must be placed on public exhibition for a period of 28 days. All feedback will be reported to Council in May for consideration when adopting the Corporate Document.

Code of Meeting Practice

The Code of Meeting Practice is made under Section 360 of the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021.

The Code of Meeting Practice provides a set of meeting rules to ensure more accessible, orderly, effective and efficient meetings. It applies to all meetings of councils and committees of council of which all the members are councillors.
