Background

We are exhibiting our Councillor Expenses & Facilities Policy and would like your feedback. The development of this policy is standard practice at each election cycle when new Councillors are elected.

This exhibition is in line with Local Government Act requirements. In accordance with the requirements of section 252 of the Local Government Act 1993, this policy must be placed on public exhibition for a period of 28 days. All feedback will be reported to Council in May for consideration when adopting the Corporate Document.

Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy

This Policy enables the reasonable and appropriate reimbursement of expenses and provision of facilities to Councillors to assist them in undertaking their civic duties.

The policy has been prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 and complies with the OLG’s Guidelines for the payment of expenses and provision of facilities to Mayors and Councillor’s in NSW.
