Over the last few years we have lived through unprecedented heatwaves, floods, storms, bushfires and a global health pandemic. Life has been stressful for many. CBCity is developing a Resilience Strategy which will set out a vision and direction for creating a resilient community that is connected and prepared for emergencies and change.

Resilient cities have the ability to prepare for, recover and adapt to the sudden shocks, chronic stresses and chronic stressors.

Chronic stressors are ongoing and felt on a day-to-day basis. Examples include rising inequality, effects of climate change, lack of social cohesion and inadequate public transport.Sudden shocks are unexpected, sharp events that threaten a city such as heat waves, floods, disease outbreaks and cyber-attacks.

The Resilience Strategy will enable CBCity to be a more prepared, responsive, connected and sustainable city that can adapt and thrive into the future.

CBCity is seeking the views of the community to inform development of the Resilience Strategy. We want to explore what you see as the main shocks and stressors for CBCity and evaluate our strengths and weaknesses to cope.

The survey will take five minutes to complete.
