Play space feedback

We invited the community to share their thoughts and preferences for the design of the play space through direct feedback and voting on their preferred play equipment. View consultation summary here.

Here are the key themes that emerged:

• Support for the concept design and upgrade of the play space
• A desire for fencing between the car park and playground to improve safety
• Provision of shade
• A strong preference for softfall surfacing instead of mulch
• Support for all-abilities equipment
• Suggestions for the traffic path to include different directions and intersections to make it more dynamic
• Concerns about car park overflow

How we responded to your feedback

The design has been updated in response to the community feedback. While upgrades to the car park are not part of the current project, we’ve taken the feedback on board and included space in the design to allow for future improvements.

We’ll continue to keep the community updated as the project progresses.
