Background

CBCity is upgrading Lambeth Reserve Play Space to create a destination for recreation and play. Located on the banks of the Georges River, the scenic location of Lambeth Reserve provides Council with the opportunity to create a unique and high-quality play experience, incorporating nature play elements, outdoor gym equipment and shade.

The community's input and feedback are crucial in shaping the new features of this park.

This proposal

Lambeth Reserve Play Space is to be upgraded to a ' Destination Play Space' as per the

Playgrounds and Play Spaces Strategic Plan’. Based on the recommendations outlined in the plan, Council has created a play space concept design that incorporates equipment and design interventions for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Key aspects of the draft concept design include:

  • Introducing ship-themed play equipment with educational nature interventions.
  • Providing diverse active and passive play experiences and improving amenities such as shade and seating.
  • Implementing kids' bike paths with educational traffic interventions.
  • Expanding the play space to cater to all ages and abilities, including toddlers.
  • Introducing a new pathway to improve park connectivity.
  • Installing a new outdoor gym accessible to all ages and abilities.

Please take a moment to read the concept design and let us know what you think by completing the survey below. The result of this survey will be used to identify what elements will be incorporated into the play space.

Jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments in association with
Canterbury-Bankstown Council.
