Consultation has concluded

Council is proposing to introduce time limited parking zones on Croydon Street and Railway Parade in Lakemba Town Centre North, and is currently seeking feedback from the local community.

The Lakemba roadways currently being considered / investigated are:

  • The north side of Railway Parade between Croydon Street and 57 Railway Parade; and
  • both sides of Croydon Street between Railway Parade and Lakemba Street.

There is no proposal to change the current parking arrangement on the southern side of Railway Parade Lakemba and parking remains unrestricted; see Consultation TC0066 Lakemba Town Centre North Parking Study for further details.

If approved by the Canterbury Bankstown Traffic Committee, time limited parking will operate Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm and Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm. Evenings and weekends after Saturday 12.30pm, parking on these roadways will be unrestricted.

The objective of this upgrade is to support economic development and employment in the Lakemba Town Centre and provide convenient and nearby parking for customers and clients .
