About the project

Canterbury Bankstown Council is upgrading Parry Park to provide the community with an improved open space and recreation resource into the future.

In 2018 we gathered your ideas and aspirations for the park. Using your feedback, we prepared and Council adopted the Parry Park Masterplan. The Masterplan will guide improvements to the park over the next 20 years. Projects identified in the masterplan have already commenced with upgrades to Parry Park sportsgrounds. The play space is the next project to be realised.

This proposal

Council has prepared a draft concept design for Parry Park Play Space. The play space will include opportunities for all residents, visitors and age groups to engage and play in their own way. From our earlier engagement in the Park, you have told us the play space should:

  • Be a family-friendly space with seats, tables and picnic shelters,
  • Provide a range of play experiences including chill out zones,
  • Have water and sand play;
  • Provide bike paths and kick around areas,
  • Feel safe for all users.

We asked you to submit your comments and feedback on the concepts so as to assist us in the development of the concept design of the Parry park Play Space.

Exhibition period

The exhibition period for this community consultation for Parry Park Playspace is now closed. Feedback and comments closed 12 midnight on Wednesday 13 May 2020.
