Kids! We would like to know what do you like to play when you go to the park.
Consultation has concluded
Canterbury Bankstown Council is upgrading Parry Park to provide the community with an improved open space and recreation resource into the future.
In 2018 we gathered your ideas and aspirations for the park. Using your feedback, we prepared and Council adopted the Parry Park Masterplan. The Masterplan will guide improvements to the park over the next 20 years. Projects identified in the masterplan have already commenced with upgrades to Parry Park sportsgrounds. The play space is the next project to be realised.
Council has prepared a draft concept design for Parry Park Play Space. The play space will include opportunities for all residents, visitors and age groups to engage and play in their own way. From our earlier engagement in the Park, you have told us the play space should:
We asked you to submit your comments and feedback on the concepts so as to assist us in the development of the concept design of the Parry park Play Space.
Kids! We would like to know what do you like to play when you go to the park.
We would like to know how you would prioritise the play equipment in the play space. You can’t have everything, so choose wisely.
Take a look at some of the artistic impressions as a sliding show case. Have a look at what the future of your park will be.
The exhibition period for this community consultation for Parry Park Playspace is now closed. Feedback and comments closed 12 midnight on Wednesday 13 May 2020.
If you have any questions or to discuss this project, please contact Nina Kierath on 9707 9000 or the Engagement team on 9707 5902.
Consultation for masterplan has concluded.
The community provided feedback on the future of a major precinct in Canterbury-Bankstown.
A master plan for Parry Park, in Lakemba is now adopted.
Parry Park is a highly accessible and functional open space precinct. Council’s Open Space Strategy and Open Space Needs Review has identified a significant gap in open space in the Lakemba area.
It is hoped that the masterplan will enable Parry Park to become a major recreation destination and sports hub enabling approximately 30,000 community members who would use the area.
The draft plan is on Public Exhibition until the close of business Tuesday 27 February 2018.
Four community consultation sessions were hosted on:
