In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993, Canterbury Bankstown Council is advertising its intention to grant the following lease, as expressly authorised by Council’s Jim Ring Reserve Plan of Management.

New lease for the Bankstown District Sports Club (trading as Birrong Sports) within Jim Ring Reserve:

  1. Council is proposing to enter into a lease agreement with the Birrong Sports Club to allow the continued use of the existing complex and bowling club in Jim Ring Reserve - Lot 21 DP 866106, No. 10 Gascoigne Rd, Birrong.
  2. The Clubhouse will be used for activities relating to the operation of the Sports Bowling Club.
  3. The site is classified as “community land”, and granting a lease for the current proposal is consistent with the core objectives for the land as prescribed by the Local Government Act 1993.
  4. The term of the lease is for a period of twenty one (21) years.
  5. The name of the lessee is the Bankstown District Sports Club Ltd, trading as Birrong Sports.
