Consultation has concluded
Council is currently reviewing traffic and pedestrian movements at the intersection of Brancourt Avenue and the Hume Highway, Yagoona, with the objective of addressing the following safety and traffic issues:
- The high number motor vehicle accidents as a result of motorists attempts to turn right onto the Hume Highway; and
- Increased traffic congestion in the area related to vehicles on Brancourt Avenue queuing at this intersection.
This traffic/safety upgrade proposal
Council is proposing to introduce new No Right Turn signage at Brancourt Avenue onto the Hume Highway. An alternate route for motorists wanting to join the Hume Highway and head in an easterly direction is also included. We are now seeking feedback and comments from the community.
Attached for consideration are:
- Consultation Plan BTC 2070-1 showing proposed traffic management signage for the intersection; and
- Consultation Plan BTC 2070-2 outlining an alternate route for motorists wishing to join the Hume Highway and head in an easterly direction.
