Background

The people of Canterbury-Bankstown helped to create a vision for the City to be thriving, dynamic and real. To deliver this vision, Council, Government agencies, residents, ratepayers, businesses and community organisations helped to prepare the Community Strategic Plan - CBCity 2036, and all have a role in making this plan a reality.

Council’s responsibilities in achieving the aspirations of CBCity 2036 are detailed in CBCity 2025, Council’s updated Delivery Program and draft 2024/25 Operational Plan.

Structured across 29 Services which encompass the wide and diverse range of Council operations, CBCity 2025:

  • Identifies our priorities;
  • Details the strategies and actions for which we will be responsible;
  • Provides detailed budget information and funding allocations;
  • Shows the important Council projects and works happening in the City or in your suburb; and
  • Shows how we will measure our performance, which is reported on quarterly.

CBCity 2025 is supported by the draft Financial Management Strategy 2024-34 and draft Asset Management Strategy 2024-34.
