Consultation has concluded

In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993, Canterbury Bankstown Council is advertising its intention to expressly authorise the following Licence within Council’s Generic Plan of Management for Picnic Point Reserve.

1. New licence for the installation of CCTV Cameras at Carinya Rd Picnic Point Reserve with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).

1.1. Council is proposing to enter into a licence agreement with the RMS to allow for the installation of CCTV Cameras adjoining the Carinya Rd boat ramp at Picnic Point Reserve Lot 101 DP 1172065.

1.2. The RMS will monitor boating activities along The Georges River and also the boat ramp at Carinya Rd, as detailed in the boating Safety Plan for Botany Bay and The Georges River.

1.3. The site is classified as “community land”, therefore, granting a licence for the current proposal would be consistent with the core objectives outlined in the Local Government Act 1993.

1.4. The term of the licence is for a period of five (5) years with a five (5) year option.

1.5. The name of the licensee is the RMS.

This will be on public exhibition from 01 to 29 November 2016.
