Background

Council is working on creating new facilities and spaces across the City for communities to enjoy.

We have developed a concept for the Condell Park town centre - the Condell Park Nook, which will be located on the corner of Simmat Avenue and Lancelot Street in Condell Park, adjacent to Condell Park Community Centre.

This proposal

We are very excited to share with you the concept design for the Condell Park Nook.

The Nook will provide a local meeting place for residents and shoppers to access additional seating and tables, shade and landscaping and, will transform a key open space site.

The Nook installation will include:

  • A chillout shade structure;
  • Under cover seating and tables beneath the shade structure;
  • An accessible ramp for improved access;
  • New trees and landscape planting; and
  • Sandstone blocks in a range of sizes and surface finishes for additional seating and a more attractive visual space.
