Consultation has concluded

Background

Council invites you to have your say on draft administrative amendments to the Plan.

The Plan levies contributions on affected new development to fund local infrastructure required by growth. This infrastructure includes new or improved facilities such as parks, libraries and footpaths.

This proposal

The draft amendments propose to clarify the Plan’s requirements and improve its interpretation by users. The draft amendments do not propose changes to contribution rates.

Key draft amendments include clarifying:

  • descriptions and mapping of infrastructure works funded by the Plan,
  • contributions credits which apply to dwelling houses developed over multiple lots,
  • the responsibilities of certifiers in applying the Plan,
  • evidence required to be submitted by applicants for sites affected by a declared natural disaster if exemption from contributions is being requested.

The draft amendments are on exhibition from 20 November 2023 until 22 December 2023 and can be viewed on this page, along with background documents including the Council report, a table summarising the draft amendments and an Information Sheet.
