Consultation has concluded

Background

At the Ordinary Meeting 25 July 2023, Council resolved to exhibit to the public Council’s draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy. Council is required under Section 252 of the NSW Local Government Act 1993, to adopt a Policy for the payment of any expenses and provision of any facilities for the Mayor and Councillors. The City of Canterbury Bankstown is seeking the community’s feedback on the draft. Members of the public are encouraged to make submissions for the consideration of Council.

This policy

The adoption of this Policy will provide our community the assurance that relevant policies and practices are in place to ensure that Council meets its obligations under the NSW Local Government Act 1993 and its Corporate Governance Framework.
