Consultation has concluded

Background

This draft Planning Agreement relates to Development Application DA-163/2018. On 24 December 2020, the Land and Environment Court approved this application, which is for the construction of a five storey residential flat building with basement parking at 599-603 Canterbury Road, Belmore. A deferred commencement consent was issued that requires entry into a planning agreement.

This proposal

Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of 6 December 2022 to exhibit a draft Planning Agreement and Explanatory Note for 599-603 Canterbury Road, Belmore.

The draft Planning Agreement requires the landowner to provide land at the rear of these properties for the widening of Waverley Lane. This will enable the part of Waverley Lane across the Development Site to accommodate a minimum 1.8m wide pedestrian footpath and a minimum 6.5m road carriageway kerb to kerb.

The map below shows the development site edged in blue, and the proposed laneway location shaded in red.
