Consultation has concluded

Background information

Council’s Playground and Playspaces Strategic Plan identified Harold St Reserve Playspace for an upgrade. The Plan recommends the broadening of scope to include toddlers and people with all abilities.

The playspace is approximately 250 sq. metres with equipment that includes senior and junior unit, a bridge and a springer. These equipment are outdated and ageing and the current picnic facilities are inadequate.

The play space is accessible via a footpath connecting to entry points from Harold Street at the north and south ends of the reserve. There is accessible parking available from Harold St off Evaline Street. The playspace is also located between Campsie Public School and St. Mel’s Primary school.

This proposal

Council is planning to upgrade the playspace at Harold St Reserve at Campsie.

We are now seeking feedback and comments from the community for the concept design, which includes upgrade of playground equipment and soft fall, new park furniture, landscaping and tree planting, construction of new accessible pathway. These works will be in accordance with the Council’s Asset Management Plan and Generic Plan of Management for Community Land.
