Parking and Bin Day Changes
The City of Canterbury Bankstown is working to provide you with the most efficient and streamlined waste service. These changes are the final stage of Council’s realignment of waste services between the former Canterbury and Bankstown local government areas.
As part of that, your waste and recycling service will undergo a few changes over the coming weeks, which may impact on existing parking restrictions in your street. Changes to the day and timing of parking restrictions will allow waste trucks to safely access your bins.
Bin Days and Parking Restrictions
Starting from Monday 1 March, new bin collection days will be based on Council wards. View the below map and list to find out if your bin day is changing. Remember, some suburbs are split by a main road. These areas may have two different collection days.
Some parking restrictions will also change in line with these new waste collection days.
Council will need to change days and times of collection-related parking signs to ensure waste trucks can collect your bins on your new bin collection day. Signs will be updated on the weekend of 26-28 February. Please talk to your neighbours about the changes to make sure our waste trucks can access your bins on bin day.
