Background

Have your say on a planning proposal to amend the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan 2023. These changes are to allow a private hospital and medical precinct to be built at 11 Harp Street and numbers 5 and 11A Elizabeth Street, Campsie.

This proposal

The purpose of this planning proposal is to provide a site-specific framework that allows a 200-bed private hospital and allied health precinct to be built, providing a range of high-quality medical care and ancillary uses.

The changes to planning controls are summarised below:

  • include health services facility, hotel and motel accommodation and centre-based childcare facility as additional permitted uses on the site
  • introduce a maximum building height ranging from 16.5 metres to 38.5 metres
  • allow a maximum floor space ratio (FSR) of up to 2.1:1

Council has also resolved to prepare amendments to the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2023.

The Minister for Planning has not delegated the making of this Plan to Council.
