Thank you for having your say on the Planning Proposal for Chullora Marketplace

The Planning Proposal for 353-355 Waterloo Road, Greenacre, supports the planning priorities outlined in the Greater Sydney Region Plan and South District Plan. Its adoption will put housing where employment is and will ensure Chullora is well connected by roads and bus services.

The sites predominately residential uses are inconsistent with the South District Plans designation of Chullora for employment, goods and services, and the need to retain employment lands. A Council-commissioned urban design peer review recommended a maximum residential Floor Space Ratio (FSR) of 0.65:1 to avoid eroding employment floorspace and varying height limits at the boundaries of the site to avoid adverse environmental impacts on adjoining land.

The proposal and its accompanying documents were exhibited from 31 March to 3 May 2021, with great interest from the community.

Council resolved to not proceed with the Planning Proposal for 353-355 Waterloo Road, Greenacre with regard to the number of community concerns and issues raised.
