Consultation has concluded

Background

The Revesby station is in the Revesby town centre, which attracts all modes of transport and pedestrians. The centre has been treated with some traffic management measures to improve pedestrian amenity. Marco Avenue in particular experience high volume of traffic and high pedestrian activities. A number of safe pedestrian crossing facilities have been provided to minimise potential conflicts with traffic.

Before Council drafts a scheme for the implementation of a HPAA, Council would like to hear from the community regarding your experience when walking, cycling and driving through the town centre. Council would like to know where safer crossing points are necessary, where cars should be slowing down and any other concerns and suggestions.

Council will consider your views and traffic data to develop a scheme to be suitable for the installation of 40km/hr High Pedestrian Activity Area. The proposed scheme will need to be submitted to Transport for NSW for their concurrence.
