Consultation has concluded

Overview

Following recent community consultation about increased traffic congestion on Jacob St and Rickard Rd, we’re seeking feedback on a proposal to extend the no-stopping zone in this area to 24-hours.

Community feedback indicated a shared understanding of the need for change, with stormwater network upgrades and illegal parking creating increased congestion and a considerable impact on right-turning traffic onto Rickard Rd.

As a result, Council is seeking further input from the community to explore the feasibility and implications of implementing a permanent no-stopping regulation in the affected area, which would provide a more sustainable long-term solution to congestion.

We invite input from the local community as we work towards improving traffic flow in this area.
