Consultation has concluded

Background

Each year Council seeks to improve the safety on our roads by seeking funding from Federal and State Government programs. The projects target those road locations where crashes are occurring or areas with a high crash risk.

At the intersection of Robertson Street and Canterbury Road, three reported accidents resulting in injury have occurred within the past five years. This location has therefore been included for consideration in Council’s funding application.

This proposal

Council has identified that this location would benefit from a median island and Stop sign being installed to create a safer environment for traffic and pedestrian movements.

This project is in line with Council’s vision of a ‘moving and integrated’ City, whereby we are improving the movement around our City for all users whilst also being a ‘safe and strong’ City.
