Smart CBCity Roadmap

Smart City Pillars: Smart People, Smart Places, Smart Process

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is on a journey of exploration to determine how we can create a thriving, dynamic and real city of the future – a Smart City.

Council’s draft Smart CBCity Roadmap marks the beginning of this journey and provides a solid base for the development of future-focused actions. It’s a guide for Council, the community and other organisations to come together and discuss:

  • The City's challenges today;
  • How a smart city can contribute to a more sustainable and liveable future; and
  • How Council can best facilitate this.

We have proposed the following working definition for what a ‘smart city’ means for Canterbury-Bankstown:

Using technology infrastructure, community engagement and connectivity to evolve our City and make real improvements.
