Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the Stafford Walk Playground (also known as Beaman Park 2) upgrade.

We connected with the community through our Have Your Say website, email updates, social media, and by sending 1,000 letters to residents living near the park.

We’ve now completed the community engagement process and reviewed all comments received for this project.

We worked closely with our designers to incorporate suggestions where feasible, and we’re pleased to share the final update.

• Full fencing around the playground: This is not aligned with the Playgrounds and Play Spaces Strategic Plan | City of Canterbury Bankstown
• Lighting, bins, bike track, exercise equipment: These are outside the current project scope, although some are considered in other programs.
• Shade sails: Council’s strategy focuses on planting trees for natural shade instead of installing sails.

What’s Happening Now

• Final playground designs have been approved.
• Delivery: Construction is scheduled between November 2025 and March 2026
