Bankstown and Campsie temporary installations update

8 November 2022

Last year, the City of Canterbury Bankstown received grant funding from the NSW Government for the Streets as Shared Spaces Program. The purpose of these Shared Spaces is to create temporary, experimental and low-cost installations that offer areas for the community to sit and enjoy the space while they are out and about.

This program has seen the installation of ten temporary projects across the City, which have helped to brighten parts of our City and to stimulate the local economy. The installation of these ten projects was staggered across Canterbury-Bankstown, with each project having a trial period of 12 months.

The 12-month trial of the Shared Spaces project in Campsie (Amy St) and Bankstown (The Mall and East Terrace Reserve) has now ended. In the coming months, these three trial projects will be removed and the surrounding park and streets returned to their original state.

We would like to thank our community for your input and continued interest in the Shared Spaces program.
