Exhibition of Draft Bankstown City Centre Development Control Plan (DCP)

20 September 2024

The draft Bankstown City Centre Development Control Plan (DCP) is now on exhibition from 20 September to 20 October 2024.

The draft Bankstown City Centre DCP is a planning document that provides detailed planning and design rules to support the changes that will be made to the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan 2023 (LEP) through the NSW Government Bankstown TOD Rezoning Proposal process. The draft Bankstown City Centre DCP applies to all land in the Bankstown City Centre and will apply to all new residential and commercial development.

You can view the draft Bankstown City Centre Development Control Plan here.

Submissions received as part of the community consultation will be considered post exhibition.

Please note that all submissions received by Council are not confidential and may be made available to the public through the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act). If you wish to be contacted prior to the release of your submission, please indicate ‘in confidence’ in your submission.

Following exhibition, will be considered at a Council meeting before it is adopted and comes into effect by the end of 2024.

Once the draft Bankstown City Centre DCP is in effect, it will replace the current Chapter 6.2 – Bankstown City Centre in the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2023. When the DCP comes into effect it will apply to Development Applications lodged on or after that date.
