Background

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is planning to upgrade the playground and add a new outdoor gym area in Bennett Park, Riverwood. The upgrade aligns with Council’s Playgrounds and Play Spaces Strategic Plan and Generic Plan of Management for Community Land.

This proposal

We are now seeking feedback and comments from the community for the concept design.

The playground upgrade includes:

  • Replacement of existing play equipment and surface;
  • Addition of a new accessible path and a new bubbler; and
  • Replacement of existing seating and shade sail.

The new outdoor gym area upgrade includes:

  • Addition of six pieces of outdoor gym equipment along the path at the north end; and
  • Replacement of existing seating.
