Background

On 17 December 2020, the Sydney South Planning Panel approved a development application (DA-478/2020) at 20 Dasea Street, Chullora which is zoned for industrial use. The applicant is Barr Property & Planning Pty Ltd.

The approved development application will:

  • demolish sheds and decommission the old provisioning point.
  • relocate existing infrastructure including a waste water treatment plant, oil tank, coolant tank containers, and demountables.
  • Re-aligning existing freight track and construct turnout and rail.
  • Build a refuelling shed including a construction slab
  • Relocate and install two diesel fuel tanks.

The application is a nominated integrated development requiring a controlled activity approval under the Water Management Act, 2000.

This proposal

Changes to the approved development application were submitted and are now under assessment, including:

  • Minor relocation within the site
  • Changes to the design of the proposed tank farm, refuelling building and new rail track and turnout location.

The consent authority is City of Canterbury Bankstown.
