About the project
Community safety and crime prevention is the responsibility of all levels of government, law enforcement, private enterprise and more broadly the local community.
The City of Canterbury Bankstown’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan 2021-2025 will outline our commitment to improving community safety and addressing crime issues within the local government area (LGA).
The plan will clearly identify localised priorities, as well as specific initiatives for vulnerable communities. The priorities are determined through crime statistics as well as consultation with the Community Safety Reference Group, key stakeholders, and the broader community.
The City of Canterbury Bankstown will implement the actions and focus areas of this plan over a four-year period while continuing our long-standing commitment of reducing crime and improving safety for our residents.
How to have your say
In April 2020 we will share an online survey and create other ways for you to have your say. We regret that, due to COVID-19, we have been forced to cancel outreach sessions and forums that were planned for March-May 2020.
