Goondah Reserve is located in Bura / Bass Hill Ward and bordered by Coolalie, Goondah, Kungala and Yunga Burra Streets in Villawood. The Reserve is home to a range of recreational facilities and Council has begun planning an exciting upgrade of the site.
In February 2024, the Wran Leisure and Aquatic Centre will close with decommissioning and remediation of the site expected to take place from March 2024 to June 2024. With this comes an opportunity to create an attractive, engaging and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy.
Construction of the new community centre in Villawood at Thurina Park is now expected to commence mid-2024.

This is the highest level of playground and equipment Council provides; nearby examples of Play Level 1 playgrounds include:
We are now seeking community comments/feedback to help us better understand the types of play elements and park infrastructure you would like to see incorporated into the concept design for Goondah Reserve, Villawood. The development of the concept design is expected to commence in early 2024.
The following map illustrates recent playground and play space upgrades that have been delivered through the plan.
