Every year, Council spends over $400 million dollars to deliver the services you expect every day. We provide 28 key services – and within each service, we provide a range of activities.

Using the budgeting tool below, show us areas where you would choose to spend more.

To keep things simple – let’s say Council’s new budget is $1,000. You can see below, based on a $1,000 budget, how much we will spend on that service this year, and what that service includes.

Then comes the fun part - you have a total of $100 to spend across the services as you like.

Your choices will help us understand what you believe should be our priorities moving forward.

Council services can be categorised as:

  • Mandatory (M) – Council is legally required to deliver;
  • Traditional (T) – Council has traditionally delivered despite not being mandatory due to a lack of other service providers;
  • Non-core – Council is not required to deliver and/or other providers are available.
  • Adjust the slide for each service below based on its importance by allocating $100 across the services.
