Consultation has concluded

Background

Revesby Station and the retail area in the town centre are busy with all types of transport and pedestrians.

Previously, traffic management in the town centre has included 40km per hour speed signs and other traffic management measures. Revesby town centre can be made even safer for motorists and pedestrians. By implementing integrated traffic management measures, including the 40 km per hour speed limit, we aim not only to make Revesby safer, but also to enhance the town centre’s pedestrian character and access to amenities such as cafes, restaurants and other businesses.

We conducted an initial consultation in November 2023 to understand community views on the current issues and improvements needed in the town centre. We used the feedback to inform this High Pedestrian Activity Area (HPAA) project’s proposal.

We are planning to submit the Revesby HPAA proposal to Transport for NSW to request grant funding in order to implement the work.

This proposal

Council is proposing to introduce a new 40km per hour High Pedestrian Activity Area (HPAA) speed limit throughout the Revesby town centre. To develop this proposal, we took into consideration the crash history, pedestrian and traffic surveys in the area and the community feedback we received from the previous consultation (November 2023).

This project proposal will include the installation of new traffic calming devices which can be viewed in the list and map below. You can provide feedback using the interactive map or the form below.
