‘Tiddalik the Frog’ is the proposed theme for Greenacre Splash Park.

Tiddalik the Frog is a Dreamtime story from Aboriginal mythology, where a frog called Tiddalik greedily drinks all the fresh water, and other animals in the community work together to make him laugh and return the water to the billabong.

The Tiddalik story will act as a thread connecting all sections of the playspace and waterplay areas. This will weave an imaginative and educational narrative about water, creeks, billabongs, native animals and connection to country.

This concept has been workshopped with local Aboriginal Elders at project inception and well-received.
