Council invites you to have your say on the proposed development of the site at Nos. 83-99 North Terrace and 62 The Mall in Bankstown, known as the Compass Centre and the former Central Library (refer to Figure 1). The closing date for written submissions is 12 May 2017.

The proposed development comprises four mixed use buildings to be built on a podium and includes:

  • 471 residential units
  • 794 parking spaces
  • 7,054sqm retail and commercial tenancies
  • 4,426sqm Council administration building

  • Development Application (DA 877/2016)
  • Planning Proposal (PP_2015_BANKS_002)
  • Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) and the Explanatory Note

The documents are being exhibited in accordance with Part 3 (Division 4B) of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, which enables the development application to be assessed concurrently with the proposed changes to Bankstown Local Environmental Plan 2015.

The documents will be on exhibition until 12 May 2017 and can also be viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centre (Bankstown Branch), 66-72 Rickard Road, Bankstown.
